Tierna-aika on alkanut Oulussa. Tähtipoikaryhmät kilpailevat paremmuudesta, kuten ovat tehneet jo vuodesta 1933. Oulun katukuvaa koristavat tiernatähdet.
Tierna Time has started in Oulu. Groups of Tierna Boys are competing for the title of the best Tierna Boy group of the year as they have done since 1933. Tierna Stars along the streets are the essential part of Tierna Time. ("Tierna" - the origin comes from a swedish word "stjärna" = a star)

It has been again the week full of fund raising events. The BBC's first ever broadcast appeal for children was a five-minute radio broadcast on Christmas Day in 1927. The response was phenomenal and it raised £1,143 18s 3d which was split between 4 prominent children's charities.

Pudsey Bear made his television debut in 1985 when Terry Wogan introduced the new, brown cuddly mascot to the audience.

My favorites of the week were:
- Children in Need Rocks Mancester  concert
- One Show's presenter Matt Baker's  arduous Rickshaw Challenge  from Edinburgh to London
- The Cake and Books sale at work

This far this event has raised over  £26 300 000.
